June 2016. The average rate of suicide in the US is between 11% and 13%. Military suicides consistently outnumber the average rates in the US!

Here is the message the Army is giving its men and women about suicide prevention!

"Good leaders create an environment where Soldiers and their families feel that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness," Lt. Gen. John D. Johnson, commanding general, Eighth U.S. Army, said in a recent statement.
