Casino Night
The countdown is on to our Casino Night  at the Club on Saturday November 19! Parents, organise a babysitter and come along to enjoy this great Club night - anyone is welcome! (as long as your over 18 of course)
Great prizes to auction at the end of the night with your winnings including Maui Jim Sunglasses, family photography session and Canon camera!
Only 100 tickets have been allocated for this event so get in now. $30 gets you $25 worth of playing chips, a complimentary drink on arrival and finger food. Additional playing chips can be purchased on the night. We recommend purchasing tickets before the night - if all 100 are pre-sold there will be no tickets sold at the door.

Patrols
Patrol availability needed for:

Please keep your eye out for the revised patrol roster on the website and also in the Facebook Group. With our patrolling membership numbers increasing we will be amending the roster to include our newest Lifesavers!
Education
Good luck to Zoe Hodges, Bobby Kershaw, Joe McNulty, James Ryburn, Arthur Wang, Samuel Wang and Jacob Winston who will start their assessments to obtain their Bronze Medallion this month! Good luck also to their trainer, Jake, who will gain his Training Officer's qualification once the squad in deemed competent.

Gaining your Bronze Medallion give you the skills and knowledge of basic patrolling and surf awareness in order to be able to participate in lifesaving operations. This is the core award to be a surf lifesaver in Australia. If you are intersted in gaining the award email education@snslsc.org.au
Rookie Program
This season South Narrabeen SLSC will be implementing a 'Rookie Program' for our young Lifesavers. The Rookie Program is a Youth Development program to assist with the education and retention of our 13 to 17 year old members through a structured development program. South Narrabeen SLSC members become a ‘Rookie’ when they achieve their Surf Rescue Certificate at the age of 13 years old (Under 14 Nipper). The SRC is the introductory award for patrolling surf lifesavers and allows the recipient to take part in beach patrols. The program will roll out over the course of the season starting with the Under 14 Nippers attaining their SRC. 
Our Under 14's have started their training, if you see them on the beach of a Sunday morning give them a shout out!

Sand Deposition
Northern Beaches Council are continuing to use Mactier Street as the deposition site for the sand. They have EPA approval to vary the deposition area therefore sand now being shifted north towards Devitt Street and south towards Wetherill Street.
Beach profiling expected to be completed 17/11/16.

Ocean Thunder
Saturday November 12 marks the start of the Ocean Thunder Pro Surf Boat series. South Narrabeen will be represented in the series by our Open Mens Boat Crew. Competition kicks off at 8.30am at Dee Why Beach. Come down and cheer the boys on!

Bar Manager/Licensee – Ocean View Room.
Working alongside the Functions Manager to ensure the success of all functions you will be responsible for, compliance of all relevant liquor licencing laws, Council rules and regulations, purchasing, stocking of the bar, whilst making sure rostered bar staff (members) are fully trained and RSA qualified.
