1) Please Pray for Pastor Makoto Fukuda

We just got word that Rev. Makoto Fukuda, founding pastor of Grace City Church Tokyo, had a stroke yesterday and is in the ICU right now. Apparently, during a scheduled check-up for a stent inserted earlier this year, a blood clot traveled to his brain requiring emergency procedure to remove the clot. He will remain in the ICU for the next 2 weeks and will most likely be in the hospital for the rest of this month.

Pastor Fukuda is a key leader in our growing gospel-centered church planting movement in city-center Tokyo. I have known him for over 5 years now and am so thankful for his passionate and humble leadership. Please join us in praying for him, his family, and the sudden challenges Grace City Church Tokyo will be facing. Our pastor Seima Aoyagi was called upon to preach there this upcoming Sunday 11/13 (I will be joining him as translator for English speakers who attend the service.)

2) Getting Settled into our New Apartment

Thank you so much for praying for our move. It has been over a month now, and we are feeling mostly settled. Sarah still has her ups and downs health-wise but overall we are doing well. Pray for us as we continue to get to know our new neighbors. We are excited for what God has for us in these months to come.
