Having a stressful week? Us too.

Let us take your mind off your troubles for a while this weekend, with gorgeous pieces from seventeenth-century Italy.
We're celebrating the release of our new CD, Mi Palpita Il Cor, with this weekend's concerts. A copy of the CD will be given to one lucky fan at each concert, and there will be beautiful Musica Pacifica mood pencils and other goodies for all.

Grammy-nominated countertenor Ryland Angel joins us -- tonight, Saturday, and Sunday only -- in a stunning program highlighting vocal and instrumental delights from the Italian Middle Baroque.

This is not only a rare chance to hear Ryland Angel in person, but also to enjoy:

  • beautiful seldom-performed cantatas by Stradella and Scarlatti;
  • an unusual trio sonata by Stradella for violin, viola da gamba, and continuo;
  • the haunting “Amarilli mia bella” by Caccini;
  • and exciting instrumental pieces by Handel, Corelli, Fontana, and Merula (and more!)

Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, 8:00 PM. (Tonight!) San Francisco Early Music Society at First Presbyterian Church, 1140 Cowper Street at Lincoln, Palo Alto, CA.

Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, 7:30 PM. San Francisco Early Music Society at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 2727 College Ave at Garber, Berkeley, CA.

Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, 4:00 PM. San Francisco Early Music Society at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 1111 O’Farrell at Gough, San Francisco, CA.

With love, and thanks,
from your friends at Musica Pacifica.
