1) Agenda for November 16, Brooklyn Community Representative Group Community Forum: 

We have confirmation that Minister for Energy & Resources and Minister for Industry, Hon Lily D’Ambrosio MP will be attending the November forum together with Hon Wade Noonan MP, local Member and Minister for Industry and Employment, and Minister for Resources.

2) MWRRP Briefing Session. November 23

You are invited to a special briefing on the priorities and key details of the Metropolitan Waste and Resource Recovery Implementation Plan for community leaders.

This plan, which was released on 12 October 2016, sets out how Melbourne’s waste and recycling needs will be met over the next ten years and beyond.

The evening will include a presentation on the Metropolitan Implementation Plan and the opportunity to ask MWRRG staff questions.

Date: Wednesday 23 November 2016
Time: 6.15pm for a 6.30pm – 7.30pm briefing
Venue: MWRRG Offices, Level 4, Tower 4, World Trade Centre, 18-38 Siddeley Street, Melbourne, VIC 3005

Cherry Lake Ward - Cr Tony Briffa and Cr Sandra Wilson
Strand Ward - Cr Angela Altair, Cr Peter Hemphill and Cr Jonathon Marsden
Wetlands Ward - Cr Colleen Gates and Cr Michael Grech

Maribyrnong City Council
Yarraville Ward - Cr Simon Crawford, Cr Martin Zakharov and Cr Mia McGregor.

BCRG Advertising and ongoing publicity and posters
We have produced a promotional poster for BCRG and put a few up in community centres in Yarraville and south of the freeway but it would be great to get them posted in more places. If you would like to put a poster up the document is available on the Brooklynip website.
  • Other ways you can help is to use this text and the links to the website and Facebook in your promotional material/social media.

The Brooklyn Community Representative Group Community Forum (BCRG) is an opportunity for members of the community, industry, local and state government to discuss issues about the air quality of the general Brooklyn area. It also enables the communication of plans and progress by individual industries, local government and EPA
