Summer at the Mercury

Take a trip around the world in seventeen films this summer, starting and ending in Australia and have a laugh along the way...

Pirouette the season off on Fri 2 Dec, 10.45am with the SA premiere of Ella - the heart-warming and fierce story of Ella Havelka, the first Indigenous dancer in the Australian Ballet. Join us for a snack and a drink to celebrate the program launch and the imminent silly season.

Other highlights include: Pedro Almodovar's Julieta, Mira Nair's Queen of Katwe, Palm d'Or winner I Daniel Blake, Verhoeven's Elle, La La Land starring Ryan Gosling [plus the return of our live stand-up comedy series Good Morning Comedy]. Round out the season with much anticipated Lion.

Films will screen on Friday morning at 10.45am as part of Seniors on Screen with a repeat screening on Sunday afternoon a week later at 4.30pm as part of our Sunday Sessions. Make it a summer ritual!

Tickets are just $7 for Seniors, $13 concession & $15 full. The Mercury is fully licenced and you can take your drinks into the cinema. What better way to relax during languid summer days?
