PREZ'S PIECE

Welcome to season 2017!  It certainly seemed like yesterday when we were finishing the end of the season last year.

Firstly we start this weekend with our Scratch Match Day and we welcome Roleystone Junior Football Club to Kostera Oval for our TIGERS CLASH and tribute to our ANZACs as we prepare for the upcoming season.

Season 2017 officially commences with the first round of football next Friday 28th April.  Auskick also officially starts at Kostera Oval on Saturday 29th April and we look forward to seeing all of our new and existing little Tigers!

Fixtures are now out for teams, but changes may happen so keep checking regularly.

Here's to a wonderful season ahead!

Pull on Your Socks Fundraiser 2017 @ Kostera Oval

This coming Sunday 23 April will be our Scratch Match Day for some of our junior teams and also our Year 8 team against other KDJFC teams and also Roleystone Junior Football Club teams.

Games will commence from 9.30am until just after lunch. 

Other events on the day:
  • Before each session we will be honouring our ANZACs with ceremonies.
  • Jumper presentations for our teams playing on the day (other KDJFC teams will have jumper presentations throughout the week).
  • Canteen facilities available all day.
  • Free sausage sizzle for all players.
  • Coco Lycious will be attending and selling their delicious cocolycious range!

Our Pull on Your Socks Day Fundraiser will be held at Kostera Oval on Mothers Day 14th May 2017, with tickets to our raffle being sold from 12th to 14th of May.

We are seeking donations of gifts for raffles and also for some donation of baked treats and goodies for a cake stall on the Sunday.  If you are interested in donating any items please contact Mel Fleming on 0400 028 673 or Renee Lance on 0418 727 299.

More about the cause:

Our donations will help the McGrath Foundation towards its tenth anniversary goal of increasing the number of McGrath Breast Care Nurses across Australia to 110 to support 10,000 families experiencing breast cancer. To date, the McGrath Foundation has funded 102 nurses who have supported 33,000 families through the challenges of breast cancer.

Holding our first "Pull On Your Socks" Weekend event this year will help support the McGrath Foundation in helping support even more families!!

It is still a work in progress as now that teams and fixtures are finalised we will be providing links to ladders, fixtures etc in the coming week (so please be patient).
