Careers of the Future Event
The South East Regional Skills Forum is hosting a ‘Careers of the Future’ event on Monday 5^th December at 11.00am in Hotel Kilkenny to bring industry and career guidance closer together. MC Miriam O’Callaghan will explore what jobs and careers are in demand in the south east. Click here for further details.

Sectors with Greatest Demand for Jobs
According to the Irishjobs.ie recruitment website, the sector with the greatest demand for jobs in October was ‘Science, Pharmaceutical & Food’, accounting for 22% of all advertised vacancies. Here is an example from Abbott Vascular in Clonmel for the role of ‘Production Supervisor’. Click here

Skillnets' Statement of Strategy 2016-19

Skillnets recently launched its four-year strategy to support the growth and development of Irish businesses. Skillnets provide subsidised, enterprise-led training programmes nationally through over 60 learning networks in a range of regions and sectors. Further information available here.
