Well done to all those athletes who raced this weekend at our Shed 2 Triathlon & Duathlon, it was pretty tough out there. Conditions were not ideal, especially on the bike, it was great to see such determination from all competitors, youngest racing was 8yrs old, awesome effort.
Once again our volunteer team worked together and helped put on a great event. A special thanks goes to our water safety team who had a hard day at the office as the wind swept up the estuary but everyone was kept safe and reached transition safely.
We have a really busy 2016/17 ahead with members racing throughout New Zealand and overseas. If you are competing outside the Bay, and would like to share your result/experience, send me an email upon your return and we can share it with the rest of Tri HB.
