Dear Parents, Guardians, Alumni, Parishioners, and Friends of Assumption-St. Bridget School,

Today we hosted about 400 supportive and loving grandparents and grandfriends at Assumption-St. Bridget School at our annual Grandparents/Grandfriends Day!  What a beautiful event!  Thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped make this day so special.  Thank you to Jana Riggan, Director of Development and all of the Development Committee who worked hard in organizing such an event and continuing a meaningful tradition at ASB!
Today also marks the end of the first trimester of the 2016-2017 academic year.  Time is zooming past and all of us at ASB continue to work hard to make this year a successful one for you and your child(ren).  Watch for printed report cards to come home in the first part of December.  This is an ideal time to celebrate successes, identify areas of growth, and set or affirm goals as we move into the second trimester.
Thank you for your generous support of Christ our Hope Parish this Thanksgiving!  Our schoolwide missionary discipleship efforts have provided the parishioners and low income families of this parish, with many items to make their holiday just a little bit nicer.  Well done ASB!
ASB is only a few weeks away from our largest and most successful fundraising event of the year-the annual ASB auction.  Our co-chairs MaryKay Rogers, Michelle Constantino and Jennifer Presnell, along with all their committee chairs and members, are working tirelessly around the clock to make this an event worth remembering.  Since our move last year to the Fremont Studios, we can now comfortably fit over 500 guests.  If you have not already RSVP’d for the event, we strongly encourage you to do so.  Bring some friends and family members, and set aside the evening of December 10 to support ASB continued legacy of excellence in Catholic education!  It is your continued support and the support of our alumni, grandparents, parishioners and community that helps sustain and grow the good work of Assumption-St. Bridget School.  My sincere thanks in advance for your support of the annual auction and I look forward to seeing you all there!
In closing, I wish all of you a blessed and safe Thanksgiving holiday!  May your home or the homes you travel to, be filled with love, warmth, and memories.  When I count my blessings this Thanksgiving, know that each of you will be counted.  Happy Thanksgiving!

In Christ's peace,
Christina Vierra McGill

Want to carpool?
Connect with other ASB families through Pogo
At ASB, we're looking for ways to reduce traffic during drop off and pick up, while helping families connect within the ASB community. That’s why we are excited to be partnering with an award-winning company, Pogo, using their iPhone and Android mobile apps to help you discover families that live near you and connect to carpool.
Please fill out THIS  that lets us know you are interested in connecting with other parents. After you input your basic information and submit the form, all interested ASB parents will receive a text invitation within a week to join the ASB group in Pogo. Simply follow the text to download the free app, and after you create your profile, your invitation will be waiting for you. Or visit the App Store and search “Pogo Rides” to download. You can then search ASB groups and request to join any that are relevant to you. Can’t find the group you want? Start your own! We’ll approve you (only ASB parents, guardians and caregivers can join, so you know it’s secure). Then connect away!
We hope if you decide to use the app that it helps make your family’s life easier--please feel free to share your feedback with us! Email ASB parent and carpool coordinator, Melissa Melia at  and tell us what you think.

Basketball News
Many of our ASB Basketball teams started their basketball seasons this past weekend.  Congrats on the start of a new CYO Sports season and good luck with the remainder of your season.  There will be no games the weekend of the Thanksgiving holiday, please enjoy the holiday and time with your family.

I was able to get out to see a number of basketball games this past weekend and it was incredible to see all of our students, competing for their school, on our brand new, gorgeous, gym floor.  What was not so incredible, was seeing the number of ASB families that were eating and drinking in the gym during these games.  In order to protect the amazing investment that ASB parents have made in this new gym floor, it is incredibly important that we limit the amount of food and drinks that enter the Assumption Gym.  It is even more important that ASB families set an example for all of the other people that are entering the gym, as outsiders are have much less invested in this new floor. Please refrain from bringing food and drinks into the Assumption Gym.

Please contact Dylan Pouley with CYO questions.

Coordinator Contacts:
Scott Summers, Basketball Coordinator - grades 4-8
Emily Childress, Soccer Coordinator – grades K-4
