<<First Name>>, were you in a youth group? Were your kids or friends in a youth group? What was it like? Think about the trips, camps and retreats, the funny stories, and the great relationships. Youth groups have a huge impact on young people in shaping their identity and, most importantly, their faith. Here's a great picture of Sam's middle school mission trip this summer in Omaha with our church.
#GivingTuesday is Tuesday, November 29. Youth Ministry Institute Midwest is currently training 19 youth leaders in local churches throughout Kansas and Missouri. Hundreds of youth are being influenced by our network of youth leaders, our faculty, and support from people like you, <<First Name>>.

Are you participating in #GivingTuesday? A $100 gift, or $10/month, provides a semester of books to one of our students. A $250 gift, or $25/month, provides a semester of coaching. These resources make a difference to our students.

With your one-time or monthly gift, you'll join a community of 150 families that support our nonprofit ministry. Our giving link and address is at the bottom of this newsletter. Thank you for your support!
CONFERENCE EVENT A SUCCESS!

Youth Ministry Institute Midwest partnered with the Village Church Meneilly Conference to host a three-day youth ministry conference event! 50 youth ministers/leaders from eight states attended, including students from Southwestern College and the Core Team from Presbyterian Youth Workers' Association. The Meneilly Conference keynote speaker was Kenda Creasy Dean, a Princeton Seminary professor and United Methodist Pastor. Thanks to Village Church!

ENROLLMENT UPDATE
We're excited to share that 19 students are receiving training and education from YMIM in 2016! Our enrollment has quadrupled in three years:
  • 4 students are completing their studies with an Old Testament class
  • 7 students are in their first or second year of our cohort learning program
  • 8 interns are now enrolled in our "Introduction to Ministry" program
Students enrolled in our program are either full-time or part-time youth ministers/leaders in local churches. Year-long interns are placed at PCUSA and UMC churches in our region by our partner, Heartland Presbyterian Center.
