Thanksgiving is almost here! With the holiday nearly upon us, we're taking this opportunity to reflect on the things that make us feel grateful while sharing delicious food with those we care about the most.

Given the significance and the meaning of Thanksgiving, we had a thought: What if we vowed to bring the generosity and introspection of Thanksgiving Day into our every day? What if we created a calendar of activities that could act as a give-back guide for us all?

So ... Voilà! We’ve put together a handy, day-to-day guide to do-gooding! It’s a collection of bite-sized and meaningful good deeds that hopefully will give you some inspiration. There’s always room for another good deed …and another helping of pumpkin pie!

A Week of Warmhearted Wins

MondayShare a Taste of Kindness: Kick off the week by putting a little pep in someone else’s step. Pick up a second cup of coffee or tea, or simply brew a cup at work for an unsuspecting co-worker. It’ll brighten their day and yours, we promise.

TuesdayOperation Office Surprise: Double up on your lunch prep and bring a healthy surprise for the office. Something like these Greek salad bites will be the fresh and energizing pick-me-up that gets everyone through the afternoon slump.
   
WednesdayNight Out (or In): Break the midweek routine and spend some quality time with your family or close friends. Take an after dinner walk or queue up a movie you were saving for Friday night. Stepping outside the normal routine lets you focus on enjoying time together—even if it’s just for an hour or two.
ThursdayTreat Yourself: Self-care is a very important part of doing good. When you give to yourself, there’s more of you to give to someone else. So, set aside an uninterrupted hour to make a dent in one of the books teetering on your bedside table or take that awesome workout class that starts right at 5. Do something you love for no other reason than because you love it.

FridayPay it Forward: Round out the week with a dose or two of thoughtfulness for a stranger. Whether it’s making a small, extra donation to a charity, like one of the programs our Children's Foundation supports, or a pre-weekend food delivery at the local shelter, sending good thoughts and actions into the world for those who need it has a huge impact.

SaturdayRest Day
Oh, and on Saturday, sleep in! You’ve earned it.
