Worship     Staff     Calendar     Give     Pledge for 2017     Nov./Dec. Newsletter

Dear Mt. Pisgah family,
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. This is such a great time of the year that is filled with so much activity. It's hard to believe that the Christmas Season is right around the corner!

This Sunday we begin a new Sermon Series for Advent: Incarnation. I hope you will join us for worship as we begin this season of anticipation and hope.

His parents gave him the name Jesus. But the prophets, the shepherds, the wise men and the angels addressed him by other names such as Messiah, the Lord, the Savior, Emmanuel, the Word made Flesh and the Light of the World.

This Advent we will explore the meaning of what those words mean and what they tell us about the child whose birth we celebrate at Christmas.

Join us this Sunday, November 27, for joyful worship as we sing our faith, light the Advent candles, and reflect upon the significance of the Christ-child for our lives today.

Come and prepare your hearts for the coming Savior. Join us this Advent.

Called Church Conference
There will be a called Church Conference on Monday, November 28, at 7:00pm. The purpose of this called Church Conference is to address the compensation of our clergy. We will be meeting in Room 107/109.
Sermon Series Insert
During the month of November, I am inviting your feedback for future Sermon Series ideas. Inserts will be placed in the bulletin that will focus on the following questions:
- Is there a sermon series that you would be interested in hearing or excited to invite a friend to hear?
- Summer Sermon Series: Who are the Top 10 Sinners of the Bible?

Please take a moment to prayerfully consider these questions. I look forward to your feedback!

Worship This Weekend:
Messiah and Lord
Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:1-2
Jesus’ birth was foretold. His coming captured the imagination of the wisest people of the day. He is the one the prophets spoke of and kings came to worship.

See you in church!

Pastor Bob
