Advocacy: A Work in Progress

Over the past few weeks many people have been asking: What does this election mean for people with bleeding disorders? Our First Time at Annual Meeting:
Christine and Tyler's Story

My family decided to attend our first NHF annual convention in Orlando, FL this past July. My daughter, Tyler has VWD Type 2b and we have only recently become actively involved in our local NHF chapter.  We were very excited to attend and meet new people to share our stories with.  Our goal was to make connections with others in the bleeding community and talk with people who know what it’s like to live with a bleeding disorder.

2016 Connect
Holiday Fundraiser

Please join Connect, the National Hemophilia Foundation's (NHF) young professionals group for our annual holiday fundraiser to benefit NHF's Connections for Learning program. This program allows families in need who are affected by bleeding disorders to attend NHF's Annual Meeting. There they experience life-changing educational, networking and support experiences. Better You Know

Greetings from the NHF Education Team! After lots of planning and input from chapters, providers, and consumers, we are thrilled to fully launch our Better You Know campaign that has two goals:

1.       Raise awareness about signs and symptoms of bleeding disorders in women and help symptomatic women on their path to diagnosis and care

2.       Raise awareness about signs and symptoms of VWD in both men and women and help them on their path to diagnosis and care.

In addition, WE INVITE ALL OF YOU TO JOIN NHF AND THE CDC ON SOCIAL MEDIA THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 12-16TH where we will be posting and e-blasting about the Better You Know site and getting the word out especially for women with symptoms of bleeding disorders. Use the social media posts or videos from betteryouknow.org or share your own from your community!
