Hello, friends.
Wow, what at a week, huh? I hope you're all surviving and thriving regardless. Send me some good news!
Here’s mine—in 6 parts:
1.
“Shut Up”!
Not only will one of my favorite songs off
Paper Plane—“Shut Up”—be featured in an upcoming episode of Riverdale, it also has its own video, shot by Indio Martinez, in which I got to throw paper planes off a rooftop in Brooklyn!
Check it out here.
2.
A show!
It’s been awhile since I’ve played a show in New York and awhile since I’ve hosted a podcast, so I’ll be doing a special night at Joe’s Pub called The Anya Marina Show featuring a night of comedy and music (think: Storytellers meets The Moth). Please
reserve your tickets now!
Sun Jan 29, 2017 @ Joe's Pub - 9:30pm
3.
New song!
This past week comedian / bestie Nikki Glaser + producer / bestie Roger Greenawalt and I tried to work out our distress through songwriting and companionship. The result is either a protest song or a song about heartbreak—or both—but we’re calling it
“This Is F*cked.” Grab it here—all proceeds go to Planned Parenthood, an organization we love and support. Do it!
4.
More new songs!
Have you gotten my new singles
Ghost Walk,
Tethered To The Dark, and
Free (feat. Jewel + Tristan Prettyman)?
Do you have
Paper Plane yet?
Go get those at
iTunes or
Amazon!
5.
Spotify!
Are you on Spotify? Follow me at
anyamarina, won’t you? I am just starting to use it, check out songs and playlists and create my own. Here’s one with a lot of my favorite songs for my favorite activity:
Public Weeping!
6.
New album!
I’m thinking about releasing an extra long album (XL LP?) of collaborations near and dear to my heart which I will need your help with and feedback on. Please look for a PledgeMusic campaign coming soon…
Thanks for getting this far. I sincerely hope you're all holding up and feeling ok!
