Hi! You are great. Really. Thanks for reading and maybe even clicking.

In the Studio

Each day I try to produce or refine something for my upcoming art show. I did a big print run in black ink and I'm planning to run another in white. If you want anything printed for the holidays reply to this email ASAP with your order. I'm working on an order form but for now just say what you'd like. Prints are just $10 if you provide your own garment / textile.

Check out the new South Land Park print! I'm slowly dreaming up prints for the other neighborhoods and resisting the urge to "put a bike on it". I consider the bike-riding squirrel our Curtis Park mascot, someday I'll carve text that says so.

I've been tinkering with some assemblage art  I'll have some new assemblage boxes and smaller (more affordable) super strong magnets pictured above!

Events: Upcoming & OngoingThe big Handcrafted Holiday Gifts Art Show Open House Pop Up Shop (could I make the name any longer?) Party is going down at my house on December 10th from 4 to 8 PM. It's pretty much a party where you can, if so inclined buy some gifts and/or art. I'm nervous and excited about having enough cool art stuff, and hosting, and being somewhat relaxed, oh, and people showing up – so please come say "Hi."

I'll have a piece in the Stranger Things Art Show – Friday, December 9 at 8PM-12AM if you're hanging out in Midtown, it's at the Outlet Coworking Space.

Art StreetIf you enjoyed (or were not able to get into) the mind-bending art explosion that was the Art Hotel you will have another chance. M5 the group that put that on it working on a bigger art project called Art Street. Yours truly has proposed a meager installation piece, one of 330 proposals! Even if I don't get in it was a good learning challenge to imagine and describe an art project. I'll let you know how it goes!

Some Things You Might Like Too
  1. Want to learn how to make a website with WordPress (GCOM 361) or create Digital Illustrations with Adobe Illustrator (GCOM 340)? I teach these classes at Sac City College – I'd love to see you in one or both.
  2. Have you heard of Creative Mornings? It's a lecture series for creative folks and they are working to start one in Sacramento! Curious? Try this talk from Simon Sinek, its great.
  3. Is your food bland? Try Dukkah – a middle eastern nut, seed, and spice blend that you can put on anything! I purchased some months ago and recently made my own. It's sooo good in dipping sauce, on a sandwich or as a crunchy topper on mac and cheese. Enjoy!

Thanks for reading and have a great Thanksgiving holiday.
Cheers,
Heather
