Velkommen til Sigrids UDEstue!
Vi er flyttet ind i nyetablerede træ-pavilloner i midten af Gellerup - langs den nye bygade. Hermed har vi fået muligheden for direkte at interagere i den midlertidige og foranderlige bystruktur Instant City, som er en del af områdets sociale og fysiske forandring. Vi har stadig til huse i lejligheden på Dortesvej, men med placeringen af den nye UDEstue har vi fået en synlighed, som giver anledning til flere umiddelbare møder.
Welcome to Sigrids UDEstue!
We have moved into newly established pavilions in the center of Gellerup - next to the new mainroad. In this way we have the oppertunity to interact directly within the temporary and mutable urban structure Instant City, wich is a part of the neighborhoods social and physical change. We are still located in the appartment in Dortesvej, but with the location of the new UDEstue we will be more visible and available for immediate ecounters.

Identity at Stake
”Identity at stake” er titlen på Sigrids Stues internationale ‘artist residence’-projekt for 2016 – 2017. I samarbejde med forskellige kunstinstitutioner i Gdansk, Berlin og Istanbul*, er 6 kunstnere/kuratorer blevet inviteret til Gellerup for at researche, bo og arbejde i kortere og længerevarende perioder. De arbejder alle med praksisformer, som omfatter dialog, deltagelse, identitetsskaben og byrumsudvikling.
Sammen undersøger vi kritisk, hvordan vi på egne, kunstens - og beboernes præmisser kan skabe muligheder for fælles handling, påvirkning og medbestemmelse under de fysiske, mentale og identitetsmæssige forandringsprocesser der sker i Gellerup for tiden.

COLLECT-ive-ING af Seçil Yaylalı (Tyrkiet)
Første projekt under "Identity at Stake" var "COLLECT-ive-TING" af den tyrkiske kunstner Seçil Yaylalı, der gennem en række workshops med beboere i Gellerup, udviklede et logogram - et symbolalfabet, eller et fælles tegnsprog i området. Med dette projekt har Seçil Yaylalı og Sigrids Stue deltaget i den alternative kunstmesse i København ALT CPH.
INSIDE- OUTSIDE af Agnieszka Wołodźko (Polen)
Projektet INSIDE - OUTSIDE er inspireret af modsætningerne mellem den ensformige minimalistiske arkitektur i Gellerup og de varierede udtryk af former, farver og ornamentik, som præger mange af beboernes hjem. Agnieszka Wołodźko besøgte en række familier og fotograferede de dekorative mønstre, som var at se på lejlighedernes tæpper. Via tegning og grafisk bearbejdning af udvalgte ornamenter og mønstre præsenterer kunstneren nu en model for, hvordan den indendørs æstetik kan integreres i et urbant offentligt design i Gellerup.

Identity at Stake
”Identities at stake” is the title of the international-‘artist-in-residence’- project in Sigrids Stue 2016-2017.In cooperation with different art institutions in Gdansk, Berlin and Istanbul* 6 artist/curators is invited to stay in Gellerup to research, live and work, for a shorter or longer amount of time. They all work with practices that include dialog, participation , identity and urbanplanning.
Together we critically examine how to create opportunities for a joint action, influence and participation in terms of both ourselves, art and the residents in Gellerup, within the mental and physical changes the neighborhood is undergoing.

COLLEC-ive-ING by Seçil Yaylalı (Turkey)
The first project within “Identity at Stake” was COLLECT-ive-ING by the Turkish artist Seçil Yaylalı, who through workshops, with participants from Gellerup developed a logogram – a symbolic alphabet, or a common sign language in the area. With this project Seçil Yaylalı and Sigrids Stue have participated in ALT CPH, the alternative art convention in Copenhagen
INSIDE- OUTSIDE by Agnieszka Wolodzko (Poland)
The project INSIDE- OUTSIDE is inspired by the opposites between the monotonously and minimalistic architecture in Gellerup and the various expressions of shapes, colors and ornaments which is characteristic for lot of the homes. Agnieszka Wołodźko visited different families and photographed the decorative patterns in their carpets. Through drawings and graphic processing of different chosen patterns, the artist presents a suggestion on how the aesthetics of the indoor, can be integrated in the public urban space of Gellerup.

KunstnerNetvækGellerup
KunstnerNetvækGellerup er et tværfagligt netværk, der har tilknytning til Sigrids Stue. De mødes omkring oplæg og faglige diskussioner, og har senest samarbejdet om udstillingen "Overgang i Vest"
'Overgang i Vest' handlede om fysiske forandringer og menneskelige fortællinger i Gellerup. Udstillingen indeholdte fotos, collager, video, performance, workshops og lydinstallation.
Udstillende kunstnere: Aksel Striim, Anett Sällsäter Christensen, Anne Katrine Graah Rasmussen, David Ramirez Comez, Faranak Sohi, Gawe Gungor, Lars Henningsen/KKArt, Katrine Faber, Nushan Roshani og Giorgio Caione.

Tegneskole
Sigrids Stues tegneskole er for børn fra Gellerup og Toveshøj. Man mødes en gang om ugen i Sigrids UDEstue og tegner sammen med de kunstnere, der er tilknyttet Sigrids Stue - det er kunstnere der enten er tilknyttet KunstnerNetværkGellerup eller en af residenskunstnerne. Tegneskolen er for aldersgruppen 9-13 år og for børn, der gerne vil tegne mere og blive inspireret ved at tegne sammen med andre.

KunstnerNetværkGellerup
KunstnerNetvækGellerup is an interdisciplinary network, which is linked to Sigrids Stue. They gather around presentations and discussions, and their latest project together was the exhibition ”Overgang i Vest”
“Overgang Vest” focused the physical changes and internal human stories in Gellerup. The exhibition contained photos, collages, video, performance, workshops and sound installation.

New initiative
Drawing school
The drawing school of Sigrids Stue is for children in Gellerup and Toveshøj. We meet once a week in Sigrids UDEstue and draw together with different artists who is connected to Sigrids Stue – either from KunstnerNetværkGellerup or as one of the artist in residence. The drawing school is for children in the age of 9-13 years and for children who wants to draw more and be inspired by drawing with others.
