Free parking on Small Business Saturday

On 3 December parking charges across Haringey will be waived to support high streets in our borough. The Tottenham Winter Festival will also be held on Small Business Saturday on Tottenham Green (12 - 6pm) with stalls, street food, live music and kids zones.

What would you do if your salary was cut by 40% but your household bills increased? Since 2010 the Government has cut our budget, in real terms by 40% but demand is rising for services like adult social care and emergency housing.

1100 attend Haringey Careers Fair


Over 1100 young people attended a ‘Routes to Work’ careers fair at Alexandra Palace on Wednesday to get advice and information from organisations including Tottenham Hotspur FC, Siemens, London Fire Brigade and Yo Sushi.

Watch Joe Goldberg (Haringey Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Social Inclusion and Sustainability) explain why the event is so important for young people.

Great British High Street Award


Today is the last day of voting for the Great British High Street Awards. Please support Myddleton Road, N22, who are one of three high streets shortlisted for the London prize. It only takes a few seconds to vote.

The closing date is the 18 November and winners will be announced live at a ceremony on 12 December.

Celebrate the work of Haringey’s voluntary and community groups


The first annual Haringey Community Expo event will be held on Friday 25 November 2016 from 11am to 4pm at Tottenham Town Hall. The event is organised by the Bridge Renewal Trust and will celebrate the work of Haringey’s voluntary and community groups.

Time Out Love London Awards


Congratulations to ArtHouse N8 for winning ‘London’s most loved cultural venue’ and Cheeses of Muswell Hill for winning ‘London’s most loved shop’ at the Time Out Love London Awards this week.

Haringey to resettle up to 10 Syrian refugee families

Haringey's Budget: Tell us what you think Haringey’s future spending priorities should be from Health to Children’s Services to Housing. The deadline is Sunday 20 November. 

Housing: We are currently consulting on four important policies to meet housing need in Haringey: Homelessness Strategy and Delivery Plan, Tenancy Strategy, Allocations Scheme and Intermediate Housing Policy. The consultation runs from 14 November 2016 until 22 January 2017

Early Years: A consultation about funding for Early Years Education in Haringey is open from Thursday 20 October and closes on Sunday 18 December.
