Blackout Wednesday
Did you know that Thanksgiving is considered one of the most deadly holidays?
When we load up the weekend travel bags, buckle in the kids, and begin the trek to visit family during Thanksgiving, we may have visions of that piping hot turkey and Aunt B's famous pumpkin pie dancing in our head. Or we may be mapping out our strategy of how to get those amazing Black Friday deals.
What we are NOT considering is the other tradition that's out there - a dramatic increase in DUI offenses and alcohol-related highway deaths on Thanksgiving weekend.
At the risk of being a "Debbie Downer," it's important for us to realize that Thanksgiving is the most traveled holiday and DUI arrests are at their highest between Thanksgiving and the end of New Year's weekend.
Did you also know:
This holiday, stay alert on the roads. Don't drink and drive. And if you know someone who has a drinking problem, we are here to help.
We wish you a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday. May you experience the traditional slow fade into "turkey coma" and burn off those pumpkin pie calories with adrenaline as you watch your favorite football team annihilate your arch rivals (well, maybe not if you're a Browns fan - but we'll keep hoping).

4-Week Workshop Teaches Adults and Teens How to "Let Go"
Anxiety can take the joy out of day-to-day living and holidays can make anxiety worse. Would you like to have a more peaceful holiday season? Join us to learn how to experience the season (and life) in a new way.
Two groups will take place at the same time: one for adolescents and one for adults. Both groups will meet at our offices from 6:30 - 7:30 on four consecutive Tuesdays between Nov. 29 and Dec. 20.
If there is a family history of anxiety, these groups would benefit many parents and their adolescent child(ren). Call today to sign up as space is limited: 614-888-9200.
