The team from Epping St John's School has won this year's Epping Forest Schools Parliamentary Debating Competition held by Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing.
Teale Cunningham and Marni Rollason were presented with the trophy and their book prizes at Roding Valley High School, Loughton, this evening (Friday).
Runners-up were the West Hatch High School team of Joe Mulvihill-Young and Jake Groce.
A highly commended individual award was presented to Roding Valley High School speaker Zoe Donnelly.
Other schools taking part were Chigwell School, King Harold Academy and Debden Park High School.
The teams spoke either for or against the Motion "This House believes that Britain's influence in the world will be greater once it leaves the European Union."
Mrs Laing said: "The standard of this competition continues to improve year on year. There was a great debate tonight. The judges found it hard to choose a winner because there was so much talent.
"I really hope that the experience of taking part in a competition like this will be good for everyone who spoke tonight."
She added: "I'm grateful to Roding Valley High School, who were last year's winners, for being such great hosts."
