Your Thanksgiving questions, answered
Rick Rodgers

We're delighted that holiday cooking expert Rick Rodgers has agreed to answer our Members' Thanksgiving questions. The Q&A began on November 17, and since then Rick has answered questions such as "What dishes (appetizers and desserts) can I make I advance?" and "How long should I cook a 24 pound organic turkey and at what temperature?" He's also offered his recipe for make-ahead gravy. Rick is answering questions through November 23, so if you are wondering about a particular dish or technique, there is still time to ask an expert!

Highlighted magazine - Christopher Kimball's Milk Street
Milk Street magazine
Fans of Christopher Kimball who were disappointed when he left America's Test Kitchen can now rejoice: Kimball is back with his own magazine (albeit with a bit of controversy). Christopher Kimball's Milk Street, like Cook's Illustrated, will be a subscription-only magazine with limited free content. However, the associated website offers several free online recipes, including a few from the charter edition like Foolproof single-crust pie dough and Charred Brussels sprouts.
Charred Brussels sprouts
The site also offers other online recipes perfect for Thanksgiving. In addition to the magazine, Milk Street also includes a radio show, and a public television program featuring Kimball as host is in the works.

It can take some time for online recipes to be linked, so make sure to check back frequently. Browse the charter issue of Milk Street in the EYB Library. New issues will be added as they are released.
