There is an artist I really enjoy. His name is Theo Ellsworth and he makes these wood cut outs with imaginary creatures. I sent him a message and he shared the technique with me. So I'm experimenting with it.
It's cool to get away from the rectangular format sometimes. And it's cool to create a unique hand-made shape every time. To go with this playful way of doing things I drew a meditating (or napping) cat. I think looking at it could be a nice way of summoning some calm when you need it.
Although I started a bit late I'll be making a few of these before the holidays. So stay tuned if you are looking for a unique gift.
