Funding research to build global health

UB's Community for Global Health Equity (CGHE) is funding three interdisciplinary research projects. Two address refugee health issues in Buffalo and one is studying the effects of air pollution on pregnant women in China.

Partners: BIG and Circuit Clinical

It's the next big deal for UB BIG, following an agreement with Garwood Medical. This deal, part of the state's Buffalo Billion investment in the innovation economy and job growth, will help the company expand its clinical trials technology platform.

BioXFEL going beyond biology

UB researchers and colleagues confirm that social media marketing matters to the bottom line. Their study found that active posts could significantly strengthen traditional TV and email marketing campaigns to boost sales.


UB student inventor creates autism app

UB undergraduate Kun Woo Cho is developing a smartphone app that tracks eye movements. By detecting autism at an earlier age, it could lead to improved treatments and outcomes. It's also portable, crosses cultural lines and eliminates language barriers.
