FEATURED NEWS
Expanding Ministry Offering
Each year our church family participates in a special offering that’s above and beyond our regular giving to expand the ministry at Eastview, in our community and overseas with our global partners. We invite you to take a step of faith and take part in this offering Sunday, December 18th or during any one of our Christmas Eve services. We’re asking everyone to participate in the following three ways:
- Pick a number – Pray about an amount you believe God is calling you to give away and plan on giving it.
- Make a sacrifice – Give up something that’s currently a part of your routine and add the amount saved to your initial gift as an act of surrender and worship. You could give up something like coffee, movies, eating out, etc.
- Pray for a miracle – We’ve seen God work in miraculous ways during our November “Margin for Miracles” month. Pray that God would provide an unexpected source of additional income (a refund, unexpected check, bonus, etc.). Commit to giving it back to God before he provides it as an act of faith.
This year the Elders and Leadership at Eastview Christian Church have prayerfully committed to giving away half of this expanding ministries offering to bless our community and global partners.

Christmas Eve Services
Eastviewchristmas.com has all the information you need to know for our Christmas Eve services and is designed for you to share with friends and on social media as an invitation to join us in the Christmas celebration.
New Year's Eve Services
This year there will be NO services on Sunday, January 1st. We will be holding our weekend services on Saturday, December, 31st at the following times: Dual Services in the worship center and sanctuary at 9:00am and 11:00am. Eastview Kids (Birth-5th grade) will hold normal services during both service times. No Junior High or High School services will be taking place.
Night of Remembrance
A reflective service during the holiday season, to offer prayer, support and hope for those who are experiencing loss, sorrow, or pain. Please join us, December 15th at 7:00pm in the sanctuary.
CIY SuperStart
CIY SuperStart is a weekend just for 4th & 5th graders that includes worship, drama, teaching, and small group time. 2,000 kids from all across the midwest will join us at Eastview for a pizza party on Friday night, sleep over at church, then breakfast and lunch provided Saturday. Staff Office Closures
Staff Offices and the building will be closed on the following dates: December 25-30.
Live Streaming of Services
Eastview is proud to now offer all three of our service times (9:00am, 11:00am and 5:00pm) live online starting November 27th at live.eastview.church. The entire worship service will stream live on Sundays including all elements of the worship service (music, preaching, videos, etc.). Our online streaming will help connect with Eastview families out of town, those who are shut in due to illness or injury and those with other challenges preventing them from visiting our campus. We also see this as an Outreach strategy to connect with those who are aren’t ready to visit Eastview in person. Our ultimate goal is for everyone to move from an online worship service to an on campus worship service where they can experience true biblical community and transformation.
Cool Yule
Eastview Christian Church presents “Cool Yule”, a fun-filled evening of jazz and Christmas standards. Join Mike Baker, Matt Ludwig, and the band as they sing classics. Show times are Wednesday, December 7 at 7:00pm, Thursday, December 8 at 9:00pm and Friday, December 9 at 6:30pm & 9:00pm. Desserts and coffee will be provided. 2017 Upward Basketball Volunteers
K-6th grade Upward Basketball league needs coaches, lead referees, support referees and scorekeepers to serve the over 600 families that come to Eastview each week during the January-March season. CIY Believe
CIY Believe is Eastview’s must-attend event for students in 6th-8th grade! We will spend the weekend in Cincinnati at a conference full of worship, some of the nation’s best speakers, games, small groups, food and fun specifically designed for Junior High students! Global Outreach Info Sunday
Today is Global Outreach Info Sunday! Stop by the kiosk to meet team leaders and ask questions about our currently forming teams. Contact Sarah at soehler@eastview.church.
Global Outreach Kenya Medical Team
The Kenya Medical Team will be traveling to Kenya June 9-19, 2017. This team will be providing medical clinics in the Kibera and South B slums in Nairobi as well as to the Masai people in Ngong, Kenya. Cost is $2,500-$2,800. Applications are due December 4, 2016. Global Outreach Kenya VBS & Sports Camp Team
The Kenya VBS & Sports Camp Team will be traveling to Kenya July 7-17, 2017. This team will be hosting a VBS at the REM elementary school and ministering to the children at the children’s home. They will also be providing a sports camp at the REM high school and to students of the Kibera and South B Slums. Cost is $2,500-$2,800, raised through support and personal contributions. Applications due January 8, 2017.
Eastview Family News
We are offering a monthly newsletter for Eastview families. The monthly email will offer news, events and important information you need to know while migrating through our Eastview Kids, Junior High and High School ministries. To sign up, go to eastview.church/eastviewfamilynews.
First Steps
Four-week class to help you discover who we are and what we believe. Sign up in the Family Room or at eastview.church/firststeps. First Steps will resume in February with our Super Steps class on Saturday, February 4th from 8am-1pm. Plan to join us and complete all four steps in one day!
Baptism Class
Did you grow up in a church that did baptisms differently than Eastview and wonder why? You’re invited to attend this baptism class to ask questions in an informal setting and search the scriptures together! Join us February 12, 2017 at 10:30 am or 6:30 pm in the Fireside Room. Special Needs Ministry
Adult class meets at 9:00, Junior High and High School student classes at 11:00 and 5:00, 2-year-old through 5th grade meet during all three services. Contact Michelle at mmaris@eastview.church.
