Join us for the 3rd Annual Winter Wonderland Parade, sponsored by Union Furniture, on December 9!
This event is open to the public, so anyone can enter to be a part of the parade! The theme for 2016 is Christmas Movies. For more information and to download the registration form and waiver visit us online. All entries must be received no later than Monday, December 5th.
This year's parade route will be:
Parade begins at Washington Ave. & E. Springfield Ave.
North on S. Washington Ave to E. Main St
East on Main Street to S Linden Street
South on S Linden Street to Locust Street
West on E. Locust St to S Jefferson Ave
South on S. Jefferson Ave. to E. Springfield Ave.
Ends at S. Jefferson & E. Springfield
After the parade, head to the City Auditorium for the Union Parks Department's Children's Christmas Party which will include crafts and visits with Santa!
The December Lunch & Learn will be held December 20 at the Scenic Regional Libray, 308 Hawthorne Dr., and will feature Hailey Kintz with the Emmaus Homes on How to Write & Use a Press Release. Lunch will be from T's Liquor Lane. Download Registration Form
We are seeking nominations for the Distinguished Service Awards Banquet. Each year, awards are presented in the following categories: Outstanding Young Person, Outstanding Educator, Outstanding Student, Shield Award for First Responders, Distinguished Service Award, and new in 2017 will be the Golden Achievement Award.
