Greetings & Good Tidings Friends!
As always, I hope this letter finds you happy, healthy, and feeling loved.
As we move into this festive time of year, I am constantly reminded of the joy and happiness that this season brings to so many. I feel blessed to live and work in a community that goes crazy with lights and where caroling actually takes place. Family traditions, colorful yard decor, and the holiday music seem to bring out the best in people (most people!). Whether it's nostalgia (think Norman Rockwell picture perfect scenes of snowy days, canoodling around the warm fire with a cup of hot cocoa), seeing the holidays through the eyes of excited children....or the hustle and bustle of it all, it just seems like it's a time where our hearts are more open. I tend to believe that our hearts feel this way because it's a time of giving and receiving.
We sometimes talk about those who are "givers" and those who are "takers". While there are extreme cases of hardcore givers (you know who you are) and serial takers (you know who you are, too!), most of us fall somewhere in between on the spectrum....perhaps leaning heavily towards one end or the other. Spirit often speaks to me about the importance of balance in all things ...and this topic is no exception! When we put most of our energy into giving and fail to receive, we are depleting our energy and can become burnt out. And when we take like it's our job and never give, we tend to feel a heaviness or disconnect. Both scenarios cause a tipping of the scales and can result in imbalance - physical, emotional, and/or spiritual. The beauty of giving & receiving is actually in the balance. It feels good to give and it feels good to receive. By participating in this dance of exchanging energies and presents and love, we are treating ourselves and others to feelings of joy. How great is that? So, this year ...if you tend to be a giver, practice receiving. Allow others to experience the joy in doing something for you! And if you're normally a gracious receiver, see about finding a way to give to others. You'll be glad you did!
I do wish you all lots of love over the holidays. And no matter where you are or what your traditions may be, I hope that you are able to embrace the small moments, the kind gestures....savor the smiles and the twinkles in the eyes of others. And when you feel overwhelmed or a little "bah humbug", take a minute and breathe deeply. Ask your angels to bring you peace and joy. Then open your heart to receive!
Looking for things to do this month? Here's what's happening at Light Works...
On December 10th & 11th , we'll be kicking off the month with Usui Ryoho Reiki Level I Certification class. Have you been thinking about learning Reiki? Whether you're interested in learning how to give Reiki to yourself, wish to share Reiki with friends & family, or want to begin a Reiki practice....this is a perfect opportunity to jump right in!
Spend some time learning how to receive loving messages from the other side at Meditation with Intention...to Connect with Spirit! on December 11th. I'll be teaching my method of connecting with the angels, spirit guides, and loved ones...and, yes, anyone can do it :)
On December 15th, Beth "B" Carleton and I will be hosting a special luncheon and inviting your Angels, Spirit Guides, and loved ones to join us for a Heavenly Holiday Lunch w/Juli & "B"! Come out to receive loving, healing messages from the other side....and to enjoy afternoon refreshments!
For this month's Movie Night! We'll be getting together on December 15th to watch.... "The Invocation"! This inspirational film explores the notion of God and compels us to be the change we wish to see in the world! Come hang out with me and other like minded folks for a chill night at the movies ...popcorn provided :)
Ever wondered what it would be like to talk to animals? Well, here's your chance to learn how. On December 18th, we'll be getting together for "Let's Play" - Animal Communication! Our pets are tuning into our energy all the time and would love for us to understand what they have to say. It's easier than you may think!
And while we're on the subject of animals......I now have a physical location for you to bring your animals to for Reiki!!! Bring your furry, feathered, or scaly loved one to Veterinary Holistic Center in Springfield in for a relaxing Reiki treatment or animal communication session. I'm there every other Thursday. Check out the details below. For human Reiki & readings, you can still come see me at Light Works, of course :)
