Youth Spotlight: Native Youth Send a Message to the Next President


As part of the 2016 White House Tribal Youth Gathering, Native Youth Delegates took turns sharing their top priorities for the next White House Administration in a facilitated advocacy exercise. The Generation Indigenous Native Youth Network and First Kids 1st Coalition collaborated to compile and publish those priorities in a "Dear Next President" letter. CNAY in Action: Introducing the Native American Career Success Academy & Gen-I Career Success Fellowship!


63 percent of those who responded to the Gen-I Online Roundtable survey say they need more programs to help with interview preparation, resumes, and other skills in order to get or be ready for a job. We listened! CNAY has partnered with the Native American Finance Officers Association to launch the Native American Career Success Academy. Eligible Native youth who complete these online courses have a chance to be part of the first-ever Gen-I Career Success Fellowship, and have the chance to travel to San Francisco next Spring!
