HRTC Class 5 Doubles Club Championship 2016

Another weekend at HRTC and more Doubles Club Championship action - this time our Class 5 players doing battle! Results as follows:

So, after two particularly hard fought matches it was Bob Brewer and Bruce Halliday that would win the bragging rights of Class 5 Doubles Champions for the next twelve months - congratulations guys...and well done to everyone else that laid down the challenge to them.

HRTC Class 1 Doubles Club Championship
Friday December 2nd

It will be a big night at the Club tomorrow night, with our AGM and First Friday of the Month drinks - but to add even more action to the evening - our Class 1 Doubles Club Championship final will be held from 7pm. Our two top doubles pairs will battle it out for Class 1 honours - and the stage is set for some terrific tennis! If you're heading this way for the AGM and/or Friday night drinks - hang around for some top tennis action!!

Presidential Pennant Results

Our current season of "Presidential Pennant" is getting closer to completion - with the stage soon to be set for a finals series. This weeks results are listed below:

Rob Fahey Celebratory Dinner

There has been 25 World Champions since 1750, and none better than Robert Fahey. In honour of Rob’s record breaking 22 year tenure as World Champion, incorporating 12 consecutive defences of his crown, the Australian Real Tennis Association is hosting a special dinner to celebrate Rob’s achievements.

All HRTC members are invited to celebrate with Rob from 7pm Saturday 7th January at the RACV City Club, 501 Bourke Street, Melbourne. $130 per person. RSVP: Friday 16th December to admin@rmtc.com.au

This promises to be a memorable night and will be a great opening function for the Australian Open. It will be made even more special with most of the top 10 players in the world joining Rob in Melbourne for this Australian Open and event.

HRTC Class 4 Doubles Club Championships | Saturday December 3-4 (Handicaps 40-49)

HRTC's Class 4 Doubles Club Championship will be held at the Club on Saturday and Sunday (if needed) December 3 & 4. The event will be best of three set, level doubles matches for players in the 40-49 handicap range. We would love to see you all here for this event. A sign up sheet is displayed in the Club rooms - otherwise call the Club or use the link provided below to express an interest. Please advise if you would like to play with a specific partner or are happy to have one chosen for you.....

Parent & Offspring Handicap Doubles 2016 | Sunday October 11th

Sunday October 11th, will see HRTC hold it's annual Parent and Offspring Handicap Doubles tournament. Held in two round robin groups, players may select a morning or afternoon group of their choice - with a final between the two group winners to be held at 5pm. It is a great opportunity for those of you with kids that either currently play - or who might be interested in playing to get together in a relaxed, good spirited day! A sign up sheet is currently displayed in the Club rooms - or alternatively, call the Club or use the links below to join in the fun...everyone is welcome to have a go!
