Rebekah's Reflections
The above quote from C.S. Lewis has captured me lately. Especially with our two children, the change happens so subtly and yet so quickly, that looking back even a few months they were different little people.
But it's also true of our life, our work, where we live, what we do. So much has changed during the last eight years we've been married. We've moved from Melbourne to Sydney, then to Mareeba and now Arnhem Land!
Each past home has become a memory.
So I want to make sure I enjoy this moment, this chapter. Even though we are both tired. Even though my day starts at 5am each morning and Pascal has to work with an engineering shortage for the next few months. I want to look up from the pile of washing and think, what an amazing time and place God has chosen for us to live!
So here is a snapshot of some precious, every day moments...

Every morning
Aletheia loves to go out and watch Daddy get on the bus for work. It's 7am and we are already sweating!
Every afternoon
When Pascal comes home he makes a coffee and we sit and talk. It's my favourite part of the day!
Sundays
We love listening to the Yolngu men worship God.
Crawling
Our 4-month-old almost ready to go!
Play at home
We love this girl.
Collecting Oysters
Yolngu collecting oysters off the rocks at Shady beach in Yirrkala, a short walk from home.
No meat
Every week by Sunday the meat shelf is empty at the grocery store, until the barge arrives to restock it.
The office
Organising maintenance, planning ahead, solving problems, writing paperwork...
RPT begins!
Regular Public Transport officially started on 22nd November! Passengers can now purchase a seat instead of chartering a whole aircraft.
RPT Maintenance
Every day before the Cessna 208 takes off for its regular route, Pascal has to do a desalination wash on the engine. This often means extra early starts, or going in on Saturday mornings.

Our house
The longer we live here the more special I feel about this place that has become our home.

Thank you for being part of each and every day with your love and support this past year. Merry Christmas!
