Strategic Framework for Tourism in Ontario

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport has launched a Strategic Framework for Tourism in Ontario. It is the next step in the government’s commitment to ensuring the industry is best positioned for success in the global market and will build on the success of our tourism investment initiatives. Trent-Severn Trail Towns Community Incentive Award

Not-for-profit organizations within the Kawarthas Northumberland region are invited to submit projects aimed at pursuing trail town related experiential tourism development initiatives associated with the Trent-Severn Waterway.

A total of three awards will be provided:
1st place $5,000
2nd place $2500
3rd place $2,500

Submissions must be submitted by mail or by e-mail in PDF form by 12 noon, Friday, January 13, 2017. Read more.

The clock is running out to apply for the Partnership Allocation Program! RTO8 has committed $214,000 to assist tourism partners with projects and there is still funding available. Apply to redesign your website to be mobile responsive, having a welcome letter translated into Simplified Chinese, photography and videography, or having a consultant come and help you create new experiences!

We're proud to have hosted the first Kawarthas Northumberland Regional Tourism Ambassador workshops. Our 34 graduates will lay the foundation for providing superior service and assisting visitors in the creation of unique experiences that showcase our region and encourage them to stay longer, explore further and spend more. Festivals & Events Ontario (FEO) will be producing the 2017 edition of the Festivals & Events in Ontario Guide in partnership with the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC).
Events MUST be submitted to BOTH the www.tourismpartners.com website and the www.festivalsandeventsontario.ca website.
