Arts and Crafts Fair
CALLING ALL ARTISTS!
Sign Up for the Arts & Crafts Fair
Join us for our annual Arts and Crafts Fair featuring over 30 booths selling handcrafted items and baked goods with a DIY crafting area for kids and adults.
- WHEN: Fri, Dec. 2nd, 6:30-8:00PM (artists set up at 6:00)
- WHERE: Spiritridge Elementary MPR
Sign up today and reserve a booth to sell your original, hand-made items. Be as creative as you would like in setting up your display (swag, signs, whatever you can think of to attract shoppers) and have fun running your own shop. This fair is for students and adults alike and a great opportunity not only to support the artists in our school and community, but also for shoppers looking to buy that special gift before the holidays. There will be a craft table for making something special that evening to take home so come and join the fun! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Artists are responsible for their goods, money and making change for customers if required.
Please sign up to reserve your space by November 28th at: http://spiritridge.org/
We’ll also need volunteers to make this event a success: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050848aca628a75-spiritridge

Scrip Orders for Spiritridge
Have some holiday shopping to do? Help Spiritridge by purchasing Scrip to do your shopping! Scrip is a program where you buy gift cards, and Spiritridge gets a percentage back. It’s a win-win – you get some of your shopping done, and Spiritridge gets a little money back to support PTSA programs. You can buy gift cards to use to buy your gifts, or just give the gift cards as gifts themselves! Think about stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, etc. An order form is coming home in the Friday folder the week of Nov. 28th, or visit the scrip section of the website (CLICK HERE) for an order form or online ordering directions. This order is due Dec. 7th for delivery early in the week of Dec. 12th.

Spiritridge Panther Pacers
We are off the ground and running! Literally! The running club is open to all Spiritridge students. We meet on Tuesdays during afternoon recess and on Friday mornings before school, 8:10-8:40 am. During these times, students are able to run (or walk) laps around the playground. The students earn prizes for every 5 miles that they run and earn a marathon medal once they run 26.2 miles during the club times. We need adult volunteers to pass out the tracking cards, mark off laps as they are completed, and hand out prizes.
Please visit the sign-up genius link to see if you can help out.
Notes: Volunteers must have completed a BSD volunteer application. Students running on Friday mornings without a parent present must have turned in a permission form.
Academic Challenge
Yes, we are having the Academic Challenge again this year at Spiritridge! The Academic Challenge is a way to encourage students to challenge themselves with educational activities outside of school. We are making some changes to the program, so please check the website in coming weeks for more information and sign ups.
Information will be on the website soon, and flyers will be coming home. Please contact academicchallenge@spiritridge.org with any questions.
Directory Reminder
The 2016/17 directory is online this year! If you have not already signed up for the directory, please visit spiritridge.org and create your account. You can register on the website even if you are not a PTSA member, but only PTSA members can access the online directory.
