NYU Shanghai Seniors Earn Schwarzman Scholarships
NYU Shanghai seniors Roxanne Roman and Jacko Walz have been selected as 2018 Schwarzman Scholars, an honor that will support master’s degree study at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Mohammed Omar, a 2014 graduate of NYU Abu Dhabi, and Anushka Prasad, a 2013 graduate of NYU’s College of Arts and Science, were also among the 129 chosen.

Faculty research funding: applications are now open for the 2017 Pujiang Talents Plan, sponsored by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality (STCSM) and Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau (SMHRSSB).
Thinking of taking a January Term class? Check out courses still available at NYU Shanghai - there are also some places left for classes in New York. Contact your academic advisor to register.
Students are reminded that items left unattended in public spaces such as the lounges, on top of lockers, group study room, library, and classrooms will be discarded on Monday, December 5. Please make sure to take all your items with you back to your residence hall rooms/apartments or secure them in your assigned lockers.

Krista Young ‘17 was invited to Washington DC for the World Bank Youth Summit in Rethinking Education in the New Millennium on November 14-15, where she took part in workshops and a competition exploring innovative ideas of transforming education.

Students from Professor Rodrigo Zeidan's Futures & Options class were given special access to the trading floor of Shanghai Futures Exchange in Lujiazui business district on November 30 to experience live brokering.
NYU Shanghai Dean’s Service Scholars visited Dalian Lake to clean waters of Canadian Goldenrod under a program managed by the World Wildlife Foundation on November 19. The volunteers also joined in threshing organic grain at the nearby Cheng Gu Farm. See photos.
