SWU to award degrees during December ceremonies

SWU graduates, their family members and friends will gather at the university’s campus in Central Dec. 9 for two commencement ceremonies - a 10 a.m. ceremony for students enrolled in the traditional program and at 3 p.m. for students enrolled in the adult and graduate studies and online programs. In addition to his role in ministry, Uselman is also employed with Pickens County School District serving in a mission critical role as a special needs teacher’s assistant. Details can be found at www.swu.edu/graduation.

Every child deserves a little Christmas and this year SWU is helping to make this happen by participating in the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign through the Marine Corps League in Oconee County.
Collection boxes have been placed in lobbies of Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center, Rickman Library and the Newby Education Building. Donations will be accepted through the morning of Friday, Dec. 9. All toys will be picked up by or delivered to the Marine Corps League that afternoon.

In addition, if any of you know of a local family in need of Christmas for their children, there are applications for Toys for Tots assistance available. These are due by Nov. 28. For details contact Donna Pittman in the Office of Academic Records at ext. 5536 or by email at dpittman@swu.edu.
