Anchor Intern
Info Night

Juniors interested in learning more about the Anchor Internship Program are encouraged to attend an informational meeting this Thursday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. in the CoMo Lounge. Current interns will be present to answer questions and provide additional information about the program.

Las
Posadas

All are invited to join in the Las Posadas Catholic tradition in which the Notre Dame community remembers Mary and Joseph's attempt to find lodging before the birth of Jesus. This year's Posadas will continue through Thursday, Dec. 1 at 9 p.m. Students and staff will meet at the Grotto Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and walk to various residence halls for prayer. On the final night, guests will process to CoMo for a celebration. The tradition includes singing, praying, reflection and sharing food in community.

Advent Lessons and Carols

The annual Advent Lessons and Carols service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 7:15 p.m. in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and will feature all of the Basilica choirs, including the Notre Dame Liturgical Choir, Women's Liturgical Choir, Folk Choir, Handbell Choir, Celebration Choir and Basilica Schola. All are welcome to attend.
 

EXALT Adoration


EXALT evening adoration will be held this Friday, Dec. 2 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Zahm Hall Chapel. All are invited to join for praise and worship music, reconciliation and a brief meditation. Students may come for a short while or stay the entire time. Fellowship will follow. For more information, please email Kayla August.

Mass for the Immaculate Conception

Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate conception of Mary will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 5:15 p.m. in the Basilica. The Immaculate Conception refers to the condition that the Blessed Virgin Mary was free from Original Sin from the very moment of her conception in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Fr. Christopher Rehagen, C.S.C., will preside. 

Gay and Catholic 

How can Catholics create a space within the Church community where members who identify as LGBTQ feel both valued and comfortable sharing their authentic selves with others? Join panelists for the Gay and Catholic discussion this Thursday, Dec. 1 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in DeBartolo Hall, room 141 to discuss how we, as a Catholic community, can lead with mercy and compassion in creating a Church - and a campus - that is truly safe, welcome and inclusive of all. Rejoice!
Mass

Rejoice! Mass is a multi-cultural Mass in the African-American tradition celebrated monthly throughout the academic year. The first Rejoice! Mass will be held on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. in the Dillon Hall Chapel. The Voices of Faith Gospel Choir will sing and Fr. Pete McCormick, C.S.C., will preside. 
 

Welcome Home!

At this Sunday's 11:45 a.m. Mass in the Basilica, 13 students who have been formed through the fall Short Course Sacramental Process at Notre Dame will complete their initiation into the Catholic Church with Bishop Kevin Rhoades of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. Please join us in welcoming them into our Catholic Christian community!
 

Mass for Our Lady of Guadalupe

A special bi-lingual Mass will celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of Mexico and the Continental Americas on Monday, Dec. 12 at 5:15 p.m. in the Basilica. All are invited to join in prayer and song with the Notre Dame Folk Choir, Coro Primavera de Nuestra Senora, Mariachi ND and Ballet Folklorico. Fr. John Herman, C.S.C., Superior and Rector of Moreau Seminary, will preside and preach. Coro Primavera will provide prelude music starting at 5 p.m.

Voices of Faith Concert

The Notre Dame Voices of Faith Gospel Choir will host its fall concert this Saturday, Dec. 3 at 5:30 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 137 E. Indiana Ave. South Bend. Graduate Friday Dinner

On the first Friday of every month throughout the academic year, graduate students of all faiths are invited to join their fellow graduate students for dinner and socializing in the Coleman-Morse Center. The next dinner will be held this Friday, Dec. 2 at 6:15 p.m. in the CoMo first-floor lounge. Register for the dinner here.
 

Sacramental Prep Info Session

Learn more about becoming Catholic or being confirmed at Notre Dame at one of two informational sessions on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. or Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. These sessions are designed for interested students and sponsors. For more information, please email Brett Perkins
