Spirit of the Future Scholarship Applications Now Available
The Center’s Spirit of the Future scholarship program will offer scholarships to upcoming, or former, graduates of a CMU-authorized high school again this year. The scholarship application deadline is January 31, 2017. Applications and eligibility requirements are available here. In upcoming newsletters we will share experiences of the current scholarship recipients with CMU and their charter public schools.

Opportunity to Apply for Presidential Awards for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching
The highest level of recognition for a science or math teacher is the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. We know we have tremendous teachers in CMU-authorized schools and encourage you to click here to read more about award eligibility and the application process. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2017 for grades seven through 12. Elementary teachers will be able to apply in 2018.
