Dear Friend of Swannanoa Valley Montessori School ~
On Tuesday, November 29th, SVMS is participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. Similar to post-Thanksgiving days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is a national day to celebrate and support the efforts of a nonprofit or charity of your choosing.
As someone who is familiar with our school, you know that Montessori education inspires children to want to learn, be curious and engage in their learning process. We believe that this type of education is a value to our entire community; it is fostering the development of successful adults for our future.
We are reaching out to you to help us continue providing this education. Our Annual Fund Drive, Montessori for Everyone, launched this November and our goal this year is $20,000. Today, we ask you to give in support of children and the development of our future leaders. You may not know these children, you may never see them learning at school or shake their hand when then are an adult. Yet your donation helps ensure that the light within these children remains bright.
In the words of Maria Montessori, “Our care of the child should be governed, not by the desire to make him learn things, but by the endeavor always to keep burning within him that light which is called intelligence.”
