MERRY CHRISTMAS

I feel Dis-Connected... Don't I?!?

Did you know a subluxation is a disconnection between your head/brain and your body/organs? When this happens, it causes Dis-ease in the body.

REVIEW LESSON FROM ORIENTATION: Top 3 Killers of All Americans

3. Heart dis-ease - kills 600,000+ Americans every year (for 300,000+ people who die of heart disease, their first symptom is DEATH.)
2. Cancer - kills 700,000+ Americans every year (1 in 2 men will get cancer. 1 in 3 women will get cancer in their life time. 5/6 who get the diagnosis "felt fine" before they received the diagnosis)
1. Death by medication - kills 1 MILLION people every year - YES, 2,809 lives are lost EVERYDAY because of PROPERLY prescribed drugs.

This "look good, feel good, I don't have any symptoms" mentality accounts for almost all premature death/sickness in the United States... and the drug companies leach off our ignorance to what health truly is.

Health is optimal physical, mental, social and spiritual well being and NOT merely the absence of disease.

Simply put, 100% Health = 100% Function
A physical subluxation of the spine causes less than 100% function of the body, and hence, a body in a state of dis-ease. I can argue that we can have mental and social subluxations that do damage to our overall well being... and we also have some spiritual subluxations that cause, well... something worth talking about...

As Christians, aren't we suppose to know that "I am never alone?" And if this is truly the case, then why do we so often struggle with the feeling that we are alone? The "alone feeling" I'm describing isn't the kind that you experience when you are at home by yourself, or the last one at work finishing a project, or you just lost your job. That kind of alone subsides the moment you walk in the the door and you're greeted with a hug from a friend or you spouse, telling you how much you're appreciated... loneliness gone! No, the loneliness I'm describing is something much deeper. This loneliness won't go away with just a hug, a smile or some compulsive buy from Amazon. It won't be quenched by a fun pastime, exercise, shopping, girls/guys night, or an ice cream cone. It's the kind of loneliness that begins to eat away at the fabric of who you are. This loneliness is relentless, it gnaws at your bones and digs it's nails into your soul while you lie in bed searching for rest; and it's waiting to claim you over and over again with every sunrise. This loneliness will make you question everything you do and everything you are.

Even David, the king over all of Israel, at times dealt with this kind of loneliness. He said these words in Psalm 6:2-6;

Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint; heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony. My soul is in deep anguish. How long, Lord, how long? Turn, Lord, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love. Among the dead no one proclaims your name. Who praises you from the grave? I am worn out from my groaning. All night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.

No one talks like this unless they are in it deep. The kind of deep that makes you question everything. The kind of deep that makes you feel as if God has abandoned you when you really needed Him most.

I know this seem like a lot to read, but some people have lost some loved ones over Christmas, they are going through some struggles of anxiety and depression. Maybe this is their first Christmas without a certain loved one... your first response may be to start skimming this, but for your own sake, DON'T. Let the words you are about to read soak through your weary soul, heal you and restore the edge of your fabric. These scriptures brought tears to my eyes as I read them... so I'm going to share them with you. They are taken from Isaiah 55. Isaiah was speaking to a nation that had forgotten God, and hence, had felt as if God had forgotten them.

Seek God while He's here to be found, pray to Him while He's close at hand. Let the wicked abandon their way of life and the evil their way of thinking. Let them come back to God, who is merciful, comeback to our God, who is lavish with forgiveness. I don't think the way you think. The way you work isn't the way I work.
For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think. Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don't go back until they've watered the earth, doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, so will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty handed. They'll do the work I sent them to do, they'll complete the assignment I gave them.
So you'll go out in joy, you'll be led into a whole and complete life. The mountains and hills will lead the parade, bursting with song. All the trees of the forest will join the procession, exuberant with applause. No more thistles, but giant sequoias, no more thorn bushes, but stately pines. Monuments to me, to God, living and lasting evidence of God.

Just because you're an active Christian doesn't mean you haven't forgotten God. We forget about Him when we pray our own will rather than His... no matter how sincere the prayer. We forget Him when making decisions based on our own comfort rather than His plan for our lives. We forget Him when we lift our hands and pray or perform ministry well, then turn around and gossip about our neighbor, or we look the other way when we see someone in need. We forget about Him when we put family, son, daughter, mother, father, husband or wife before Him. We forget about Him when we talk to our friends about our problems and act like we're hiding it from God because we don't talk to Him at all; and we become ashamed of ourselves...

We go to bible study, show up every Sunday to Church, put money in a basket, and sit quietly... all while running away from Him, and this... is making us lonely. But not that kind of loneliness that resolves with a hug, a smile or a new outfit.

I challenge you all to go a little deeper with God this year. Find those mental subluxations, remove them. Find those social subluxations, remove them. Find those spiritual subluxations and remove them. Get Connected. He is worth it, and you don't deserve to the anxiety, depression and loneliness you've been feeling.

"Your body was created by The MAKER. It's really just a bunch of MATTER. When MATTER is disconnected from The MAKER, there is a problem with the MATTER, not The MAKER. At The Wellness Pointe, we restore the connection between the MATTER and The MAKER. Because that is what MATTERS! Expect miracles."

Can't wait to detect and correct subluxations this month! Merry Christmas!
In Health and Faith,
   With Love and Appreciation,
