As we head toards the end of the year, it is natural to be reflective.   I look around the studio and it's humble beginings, to the open day and what we are all creating together and it fills me with such joy to have this community to be part of.
In Sanskrit, sat means truth and sangha means community.  Our satsang will  be a cosy, gentle evening of meditation together, good company and vegetarian pot luck.  Satsang offers a special time to come together as a community.
Join us for all or part of the evening to with people who share a commitment to a path to inner peace, promoting greater mindfulness, love, and peace in the world.

Satsang is free of charge and open to everyone of all ages, you do not need to practice yoga or attend the centre regularly.

Namaste, Grace

Teacher Spotlight  ~ Aga Teacher 6.30am on Fridays Morning Flow

What yoga means to me ~ Aga Postola

I keep asking myself this question all the time. When I first started Yoga classes I was looking mainly for physical benefits, that undoubtedly come with the practice, but I quickly realised it was much more in Yoga than physical exercises. Yoga is a path leading us to better understanding ourself, our body, mind, spirit and the whole universe. Practising Yoga helps me understand the fact, that even if we are all different, there is no separation between us and the rest of the world. It clearly states that Yoga is present in my life all the time, not just “on the mat”. Life challenges us every day with big problems or millions little issues, that we can face with better understanding and peace when we practice Yoga - the science of the mind. The best description of what Yoga means to me is the main Yoga Sutra of Patanjali : “Yogas citta vrtti nirodhah” - "The restraint of the modifications of the mind-stuff is Yoga”. It brings peace. Namaste.
