With the fall season almost behind us, the rain and snowy winter season is right around the corner.
As you prepare for the holidays, please take some time to visit your local automotive store to pick up some new wiper blades. Changing your wipers once a year is sure to improve your visibility when you encounter rain or snow while driving.  Also check the tire tread on your cars. If you are trying to squeeze out an extra 1000-2000 miles this winter, it may not be worth it. My advice is to purchase those new tires now before winter so your car and your loved ones can travel safer on the roads. I realize we do not have an El Niño winter coming, but you never know what storm you could get caught in.  If you take care of it now, you will be prepared for any storm that is headed your way.

As a busy Mom or Dad, the holidays are sometimes difficult to get everything accomplished that you would like.  Between the parties and family time, your kids still need to have some fun.  One creative way to keep them entertained and is building a gingerbread house or train.  Lucky for us, Trader Joe's, Michaels and other stores offer gingerbread kits.  They come with pre-cut gingerbread, icing, candy to decorate and directions if you or your kids want to follow them.  This is a great activity to do with your kids or to supervise them for a couple hours of fun.  It will provide a great sense of accomplishment for your creative young minds (or old) in your household.  Have fun!
