Topic Description: Death, downsizing, retirements, mergers, acquisitions...organizations lose employees for many reasons. Yet most organizations deal very poorly with the RIM aspects of employee separation. ARMA Detroit Education Director William W. LeFevre will explore how to build an effective RIM component into the employee exit process at your organization, including model RIM policies and procedures for employee separations. Legal ramifications of separations on RIM programs and risk analysis and assessment will draw from real-world scenarios.
Biography – William W. LeFevre, CA, CRM
William W. LeFevre, is the Senior Archivist for the Walter P. Reuther Library at Wayne State University as well as a faculty member in the School of Library and Information Science at the university. He holds a B.A. from Albion College as well as an M.L.I.S. and Certificate in Archival Administration from Wayne State University. Mr. LeFevre has served on the ARMA International Board of Directors, as Chairman of the ARMA International Educational Foundation and has been both Secretary and Regent for Certification Standards for the Institute of Certified Records Managers, and President of the ARMA Detroit Chapter.
