These pathways were developed in collaboration with local GPs, inpatient palliative care teams, community palliative care providers, and health professionals from the palliative care consortia, pharmacist, oncologist, RACFs, residential-in-reach and deputising services

Best Practice Guidelines For Type 2 Diabetes Now Available
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and Diabetes Australia have recently updated their best-practice guidelines for the prevention, diagnosis and management of diabetes, General practice management of type 2 diabetes 2015-18.
A complimentary printed version of the publication will be sent to RACGP members within the coming weeks and non-members can purchase the publication from Diabetes Australia.

The National Evidence Based Guidelines for the Management of Type 2 Diabetes includes five guidelines in the series.
When combined, they present a comprehensive set of evidence-based guidelines for the prevention, diagnosis and management of Type 2 Diabetes. The series can be downloaded from Diabetes Australia
Australian Diabetes Society Launches Type 2 Diabetes Treatment Website
The Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) has launched a new interactive website, aimed at improving the lives of people living with type 2 diabetes.
According to the ADS the website is the first of its kind in Australia to offer health-care clinicians a user-friendly, interactive tool to assist them in determining the best option for their patients.
The website features evidence-based information, easy to understand treatment pathways and case studies. The initiative is supported by the National Association of Diabetes Centres (NADC), Diabetes Australia (DA), The National Prescribing Service (NPS) and the Royal College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
