This week we have hosted and participated in the FOBISIA U15 Games, a highly competitive sporting competition between some of the best international schools in SE Asia. It was quite awe inspiring to witness the sporting excellence of so many young athletes and to see the high level of determination and competitiveness that they brought to each match or event. • Year 4 & 6 Art Exhibition: This week parents and children from across the school were given the opportunity to come and view a piece of artwork from children in Years 4 & 6.
• Visiting Authors: Igniting the passion for reading... ninja style.
• Year 7 Spelling Bee: The Year 7 Spelling Bee is an annual event to engage students with the importance of spelling from the beginning of their Secondary school life. Holly Mitchell, English Teacher and Head of Year 8, tells us more...
• Dancing Out!: Every Thursday, Secondary students face a fun aerobic workout that mixes in dance moves called Zumba!
• (I)GCSE Presentation Evening: Tuesday evening saw the current Year 12 students receive their (I)GCSE certificates in a ceremony held at BISS Puxi.
• Music Melodies: This week the Primary school embraced poetry week in music lessons, combining poetry activities with the Juilliard Curriculum.
• Sports Report: As a school we can be very proud of what has been happening over the recent months in the Sports department. Our sports participation numbers have never been higher and we have engaged many new budding athletes into many different activities.
• Giving Tree Update: All 600 bags are now gone! Thank you once again for supporting the Giving Tree this year and bringing smiles and the ethos of giving to the children of our recipient schools, Dragon School and Kindred School.
• PTA Corner: We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Christmas Fair on Sat 3 December. Besides the fantastic vendors that will help you with holiday shopping, there will also be a great combination of foods and snacks from around the world.
