Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Nile… Oh My!

I’ve dreamed of the Nile River and The Great Pyramid since I was a little girl. I was excited that my dreams came true last month when I visited Cairo, Egypt. It is an adventure that was simply amazing!

From the moment I set foot in the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence, I felt totally spoiled.  The service was exemplary, the accommodations beautiful and of course the view was spectacular.

I spent my days exploring the history and marvel of Cairo.  I must say, The Great Pyramid and The Sphinx are utterly breathtaking. 1. Plan ahead - Minimize your wait by scheduling your departure to avoid peak hours such as weekend mornings.
2. Be prepared - Have your travel documents ready and organized and know what documents are required for the country you are entering.  
3. Pack Smart - Avoid an unwanted search, or having to toss your beloved face cream, by packing properly. 
4. Dress appropriately - Be organized and remember what may need to be removed (shoes, jewelry, watch, jacket), and what you have inside your carry-on bag that might need to be taken out (liquids, large electronics). 
5. Be cooperative - Customs agents can ask you anything so aim for succinct, direct and polite answers.
