Dear friends,
Even in turbulent times, we have much to be thankful for. The miracle of the performing arts is that they speak to the humanity within us all, bringing us closer and giving us an intimate, visceral experience of some of the greatest works of genius ever created.
We remain perpetually thankful for the opportunity to bring great music to life seven times per week. More than anything, we are thankful for you, our friends and fans, for your support and your passion. Your presence, in New York and in cyberspace, listening on the radio, on Sirius XM, and in movie theaters around the world, gives us renewed energy.
More tangibly, we are thankful that our colleagues in the Pittsburgh Symphony have reached an agreement that, despite painful sacrifices, allows them to continue making music in a spirit of renewed collaboration. We stand in ongoing solidarity with our remarkable colleagues in the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and we invite you to support them as they courageously stand for growth, not cuts.
Gratefully yours,
Your MET Orchestra Musicians
