Santa Claus Photos Next Week! We’re very excited to announce that Santa will be making a special visit to Gordon Vet Hospital on Saturday the 3rd of December. He is looking forward to hearing Christmas wishes from your 4-legged family members, and of course for Santa photos with you and your pet!
Grey's Anatomy Grey is an aptly named 8 month old Italian Greyhound who came to Gordon Vet Hospital with a very sore front leg. On closer inspection by Dr David Loneragan it became clear that Grey had a fractured leg. More specifically the distal radius and ulna of the left front leg were broken.
Can you pick the breed? These gorgeous pets have all been shaved at Gordon Vet as part of tick searching and treatment for tick paralysis. When you are searching for a critter that may only be several millimetres in diameter, hidden in the long, thick coat of a German Shepherd or a Siberian Husky, it fees like you’re looking for a needle in a haystack. In contrast, when a dog or cat is shaved like this, it doesn’t leave anywhere for nasty little ticks to hide, and that’s just the way we like it!
