Last night (29.11) saw the inaugural Our Health Heroes Awards Ceremony take place in London. Hosted by Dr. Phil Hammond and Co-hosted by Candace Miller, Director of the National Skills Academy for Health, the ceremony saw 24 regional winners in both Clincal and Operational servcies and two national winners recognised for their fantastic work. Work has recently commenced on an 18 month study called ‘Evaluating the Care Certificate: A Cross-Sector Solution to Assuring Fundamental Skills in Caring’ (ECCert) funded by the Department of Health Policy Research Programme.
