What is Arts Engage Canada?
Arts Engage Canada is an online platform for performing arts presenters, artists and producers to exchange and explore ideas to take on a transformative role in their respective communities through community engagement activities. The platform is an initiative led by Ontario Presents.
Arts Engage Canada provides users with a foundation for building relationships, establishing budgets and creating documentation and evaluation processes for your next community engagement project.
The Practice
"The Practice" section of the Arts Engage Canada website will expand your understanding of the community engagement practice.
The Presenter
"The Presenter" area focuses on the Presenters experience of developing community engagement projects, while exploring ways of defining your community, finding community partners and building your vision.
The Artist
"The Artist" section begins to explore the role of the artist in the community engagement process. The role is further defined by identifying the roles and importance of both local and visiting artists. To further this role definition, Arts Engage Canada provides guidelines for creating empowering partnerships between artists and presenters.
The Idea Box
The Idea Box is where you get to share your experiences and stories about community engagement activities that you or your organization has created and participated in developing. We want to hear from you! Your stories will be the driving force behind Arts Engage Canada's content and will be a chance to share your community engagement stories with others.

Resource Centre
