Washington's 2016 Year-End Spending Spree

At the end of every fiscal year, Federal agencies rush to “spend it or lose it." Recent purchases have included t-shirt cannons, sculptures, TVs, inflatable football toss, cornhole and more, all to protect higher spending levels in upcoming budgets.

The Feds Fumble Again

This week Senator James Lankford (R-OK) released the second edition of his oversight report, “Federal Fumbles, 100 Ways the Government Dropped the Ball.” Volume two of the series details $247 billion in wasteful and inefficient Federal spending including $500,000 for an exhibit that shares the best smells of medieval times.
