Thank You for Making the Farm & Food Expo a Success!

We were so grateful for your participation in our Farm & Food Expo. We want you to come again next year! Just like Santa's elves, we're counting down the days, fixing mistakes and making it better than ever. Save the Date for Nov. 4, 2017 and look for early-bird registration in August.

Until then, keep an eye on these upcoming events:

  • SCD Tree Sale: featuring an American Fruit Bundle of Persimmon and Raspberry. Pre-order begins January 1, 2017.
  • Managing Natural Risk: A free workshop by Sustainable Obtainable Solutions that will help you withstand what mother nature might throw at your property. Registration is free! Class held January 20.
  • Tree School: First Detector Training - early bird price only $20 for three hours of education, and ISA and WA Pesticide Credits. January 27.
  • Cultivating Success: these classes are held at Spokane Community College on topics like Planning for Profit, Raising Sheep, Advanced Urban Goat Keeping, and more!
  • Cabin Fever: the Master Gardeners put on an amazing day-long event with topics like Permaculture, Pruning, and Soils! March 11.
  • Backyard Conservation Stewardship Program: Mondays in March, a great series for beginners or new property owners.
Got mushrooms? The Farm & Food Expo mushroom class inoculated several logs which were later installed at the SCD office. We're near the fair grounds at 210 N Havana; stop by this spring to see if they're growing!
