We made it, it's the end of 2016. It may have been memorable in more ways than one can imagine, and what a year we have had.
Had a blast with Django Girls Dublin early November, we managed to get everyone to host their blog locally. *yay* I'm so happy about the success of the 2nd workshop, and it was on a workday and was well attended. I hope I get a chance to run another one sometime next year, so watch this space.
Even though we didn't run as many workshops this month, we have been working with others on events for this month and next, such as the annual Techie Table Quiz (Wed Dec 14) and #weAREhere event (Mon Jan 16).
It's so exciting! The former, tech groups band together to organise an epic community geek table quiz (no pop music or sports, we promise), and all for charity (Dublin Simon Community). And the latter, a gathering of female-tech groups to start off 2017 with some cheer and kick the Jan blues out the window.
We are also delighted that we have run our first Wexford Coding Grace, which was kindly hosted by Wexford Library, and big thanks to Zita for organising and mentoring the HTML workshop.
